EMS¶
The wiki for this project contains the following information:
- Scope of the Edge Matching Service
- User documentation for the Edge Matching Service
- Developer documentation for the Edge Matching Service
This is the current development milestone plan:
M1:Released, 15.05.2009
- Test suite to ensure high quality edge matching and to show what quality of edge matching can be achieved with the JCS (Java Conflation Suite).
- Added DatasetCleaning operation
- Find stable GML implementation
- Revisions and improvements supporting GML 2.1.2
M2:Released, 30.06.2009
- CoverageAligner implementation supporting "align-to-reference" mode
- CoverageAligner implementation supporting "distribute-errors" mode
M3:Released, 31.07.2009
- Added Lineage documentation to the metadata of the processed data sets
- Automatic decission on align-to-reference or distribute-errors mode given the scale or the positional accuracy.
- Hosting server offering the EMS
M4:Released, 30.10.2009
- Coverage Aligner bug in align-to-reference mode fixed -no result changes after align-to-reference processing.
- Fixed bug obtaining data inputs.
- Improvement of the Coverage Aligner process by adding a new algorithm for a better performance aligning borders.
- Calculate the maximum distance and average distance points were moved during the EMS process.
- Shapefile format supported as input.
Long Term Milestones
- Implementation of the GeometryTranslation operation
- Readers for other supported input formats (GML 3.1)
- Extend the CoverageAligner and the GeometryTranslation operations in order to support n-candidate data sets.
